Inspiring girls to lead in STEM

Cultivating future female STEM leaders starts with expanding opportunities and reaching students with a passion for discovery. At PPG, we support programs that seek to close the STEM gender gap. We fund hands-on science learning, encourage our female employees to serve as mentors and role models, and share the possibilities and progress that a diverse STEM field holds.

PPG Girls in Tech Program

Girls in Tech

Since 2022, PPG has sponsored Girls in Tech in Brazil, a program that offers free training in digital technology, such as programming, 3D printing, robotics and artificial intelligence, exclusively for girls, with the aim of stimulating the potential of young women at the forefront of science and innovation.

Girls in Tech focuses on the STEAM methodology (Arts, Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and is in line with PPG's global objectives to foster innovation in its locations.

Lasting one year, classes have been held at the Wadih Jorge Maluf State School, the Luiz Campo Dall'Orto Sobrinho State School and, currently, at the Maria de Lourdes Martins State School in Jardim Maria Antonia.

In 2025, 80 girls were part of the program, all in the city of Sumaré (SP).
